The CML spans all styles, genres, and regions, with songs sourced from independent and emerging artists, as well as top-tier music houses, free for all TikTok users to use.
We are continuously developing new monetization and revenue share solutions, so artists feel valued and rewarded for their creativity on TikTok. The program allows artists to monetize their music on TikTok by allowing businesses to use it in their content, giving them unprecedented opportunities to be discovered and re-discovered in markets around the world.
To ensure that a SoundOn track is eligible to be entered into the CML, it must be fully licensed; the uploader of the track must have exclusive 100% control of both the publishing and master recording rights. This means if the underlying composition embodied in your sound recording is represented by a publisher or publishing administrator, that song cannot be opted into the CML.
