1. Create an account
You must first create a SoundOn account to upload your songs to Apple Music and use its incredible features. So how can you do that? First, open the website. You'll then see a button “Join Now”. Click on it to make your account. Alternatively, there's a login/register button in the navigation bar that will take you to the same place.
2. Fill out the information
Once you've registered, you'll be directed to a page where you'll have to choose your role – either as an Artist or Label. After that, you'll be taken to the onboarding page to continue the process.
If you're an artist, you'll have to provide personal information and confirm your e-mail address. Make sure everything you've listed is accurate and up-to-date because the data will be checked in the review process.
3. Sign the contract
Before you drop your sick beats and share your tunes with the world, you have to sign that contract! Once you've submitted your details, the webpage will whisk you away to sign an agreement. After confirming your email and clicking "Create a License Agreement," you'll be teleported to the Overview page, where you'll receive instructions on how to sign it. It's as easy as pie!
Just open the email, click "View doc," then "Continue" on the new page, and sign off on the agreement.
4. Upload your amazing music
- Click on the “Upload” button
- Upload the file of your song
- Fill out all the track details (title, genre, artist name, contributors, cover art, etc.)

- Fill out details on the song's redistribution
- Set the release time
- Click “Next to select platforms”

After you're finished with your submission, you'll be able to see metadata and other account information, like your balance.
5. Review process
So, once you've given your details, signed the contract, and uploaded your music, it's time for the review process to begin!
This consists of three stages: first, your personal info gets checked, then your album gets looked at, and finally, your individual tracks get reviewed.
